His funeral was held at 10 a.m. December 17, 1966 in the chapel of Hollabough-Spindle Funeral Home, the pastor of Winbourne Avenue Methodist Church officiating.
A native of Winnfield, he leaves as his survivors his widow, the former Kate Whitman of Alexandria; three daughters, Mrs. Mac Williams, San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Joe Rohner, Greensburg, La., and Mrs. Pat Bardwell, Baton Rouge, La.
The following sisters and brothers, Mrs. S. L. Garrett, Winnfield, Mrs. Frank Morris, Dallas, Tex., Frank C. Brewer, Houma, La., John F. Brewer, Baton Rouge, La., Miss Frances Brewer, New Orleans, La., Mrs. L. G. Neilson, Houston, Tex., James A. Brewer, Salem, Oregon; and 13 nieces and nephews.
