He was united in marriage to Marie Sander on January 31, 1906 and to this union was born four children, Thelma, Esther, Franklin and William. She preceded him in death in March 1918.
On December 17, 1919 he was married to Florence Rosebaugh. To this union was born ten children: Ruth, Bessie, James, Merle, Nellie, Donald, Viola, Marjorie, Mary and Doris. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Chester and seven other brothers: Gene, Verne, Dudley, Harry, Leslie, Burris and Bert: three sisters: Lillian, Florence, and Belle: one grandson, Galyn Gene Gano, and one great-grandson, Nickey Gano.
He is survived by his widow and all of his children: Thelma Gano, Hill City, KS, Esther Christenson, Weaverville, NC, William and Ruth of Waterville,KS, Nellie Graham, Bessie, Franklin, Merle and Donald all of Wichita, KS, James of Grove, OK, Mary Hess, Derby, KS, Viola Keefover, Marysville, KS, Marjorie Hagedorn, Hanover, KS, Doris Bishop, Blue Rapids, KS, one brother, Ralph of Onaga Park, CA, 44 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be missed greatly by all.
Funeral services were September 7, 1964 at the Methodist Church.
