A whole hog barbecue was held at the Veteran's Park, Sunday evening, August 9, in honor of Alvin and Marjorie Hagedorn for their 45th Wedding Anniversary.

Marjorie Ellen Hagedorn, 90, Hanover, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Hanover Hospital, Hanover.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 1, 2021, from noon until 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary.

Relatives only funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bremen. The service will be live streamed on the Kinsley Mortuary Facebook page.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Marjorie was born in Waterville to Essick and Florence (Rosebaugh) Gordon on June 9, 1930. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Barnes. She attended school in Waterville.

On August 10, 1947, Marjorie was united in marriage to Alvin Hagedorn at St. Peters Lutheran Church. She worked hard all her life, being a farm wife and homemaker. Marjorie always had time to have breakfast on the table and homemade bread when the children came home from school. She was always sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren. The grandchildren always had look alike outfits for Christmas. The great grandchildren wore crocheted baptism gown, she made. Playing cards with friends was also a favorite pastime. Marjorie was a member of St Peters Lutheran, Barnes then transferred her membership to Immanuel Lutheran,Bremen.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Alvin; sisters, Esther, Thelma, Ruth, Nellie, Bessie and Mary; brothers, Pete, Bill, Merle, Donald and Jim; and son-in-law, Kenneth Champagne.

Survivors include her children, Marlaine Champagne, Larry (Sue) Hagedorn, both of Hanover, Richard (Carol) Hagedorn, Herkimer, Nancy (Wayne) Crome, Hanover, Wayne Hagedorn, Ardmore, OK, Alice (Gordon) Stohs, Wamego, Mark (Lori) Hagedorn, Hanover; sisters Viola and Doris; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, three step great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund is established to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
