Chester Jack Murray, age 72, died April 28, 1994 of cancer in Phoenix, Arizona at his home surrounded by love.
Born September 6, 1921 in Vernal, Utah to William Ashby and Emma Elizabeth Hughes Murray. Married MaRae McCarrel in 1947; later divorced. Married Nadean Johnson February 3, 1956; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died November 24, 1992.
Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Owned and operated Camp Strawberry from 1962 to 1986. Owner and trainer of many thoroughbred racing horses. Member of Arizona Horse Breeders Assn. Owned and operated Murray Trailer Park. A true entrepreneur.
Survived by daughters, Allison Stanley, West Jordan; Pamela Bennion, Riverton; stepson, David L. Tanner, West Valley City; grandsons, Casey and Kelly Bennion, Rick and Shane Tanner, Chad Stanley; one brother and eight sisters.
