Funeral for Kenneth McWhorter, 62, of 1609 Cedar St. Sw will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Austinville Church of Christ with Jackie Fox and Kyle McWhorter officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church two hours before the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 9.

Mr. McWhorter died Sunday at Huntsville Hospital. He was a long-time resident of the Decatur area. He was a graduate of Florence State College, which is now the University of North Alabama, and was a retired NASA employee.

He is survived by one brother, Jewell McWhorter of Decatur; and two sisters, Telette Napps of Sheffield and Twilight Royer of Decatur.

Pallbearers will include Henry McWhorter, Hugh McWhorter, Lilbourne Hall, James Goodwin, Dan Ponder and Gary Vest.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Austinville Church of Christ, his physician. and NASA employees.
