. Mrs. Edna Shan, 79, a resident of R. 1 Noble passed away this morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital.
. Arrangements are being completed at the Summers Funeral Home.
. Mrs. Shan was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of William Rusk and Nellie Williams Rusk. She was married to Russell Shan and they have operated a farm southeast of Noble for many years and have become some of the county's well known persons.
. She leaves her husband and eight children; Mrs. Robert (Floy) Sterchi, Mrs. Kent (Betty) McKnight of Fort. Worth, Texas, Mrs. Glenn (Carol) Petero of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Lee (Carmen) Hogue of Olney, Mrs. Raymond (Janet) Miller of Robinson, John Shan of Olney, Jerry and Steve Shan both of Noble. There are 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She also leaves a brother Charles Rusk of Noble.
. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dorothy Elaine Shan, and a brother Herschel Rusk.

. Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Shan of Noble who passed away yesterday at the Richland Memorial Hospital will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. David De Jarnett officiating. Interment will be in the Noble Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Funeral Home from 6 to 9 P.M. this evening (Tuesday).
. In the list of survivors listed yesterday the name of a daughter was incorrectly listed as Mrs. Carol Petero and should have been Mrs. Glenn (Carol) Peters of St. Paul, Minn, and in addition to the family which had preceded her in death the name of a son James Russell Shan should have been included.
