Funeral services for Elias Michaelson, was held in the North Ward chapel Thursday at 1 p.m.
The opening musical selection, "How Can I Leave Thee" was rendered by a male quartet from Fairview composed of Harvey Eldon and Ronald Allred and Harold Allen.
N.P. Lee offered the opening prayer. Consoling and eulogistic remarks were made by A.D. Taysom, Martin Thompson, Albert E Kennington and George Burton.
Bp. Franklin Gardner endorsed the remarks that had been made and asked God's blessing on the wife and family.
Ernest Turner of Grover sang the solo "Resignation" Mary Call sang "The Hand of You" accompanied by Carmen Kellersberger.
Verses of consolation from the family, a tribute of respect from the retired Y.L.M.I.A. Stake board and a telegram of regret from Lydia Michaelson, who is doing missionary work in Baltimore MD. were read by Mrs L.D. Campbell.
Mrs. Michaelson's sister expressed her thanks that they were privileged to be present and thanked all for their kindness shown their sister and to Bro Michaelson during his illness.
The meeting house was packed to capacity with his relatives and friends. Those coming from a distance where Mrs Michaelson's brother and sister from Salt Lake City. Mr and Mrs A.E. Wilde and Bertha Michaelson from Kemmerer.
The floral offering were profuse and beautiful. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing wife and little daughter, Ada Jean and the brothers and sisters and other relatives. Especially do we extend sympathy to his sister Lydia, who is filling a mission in the Eastern States and could not be present.
Sisters Gean Harrison and Nellie Roberts sang as a closing number, "Across the Bar".
Benediction was offered by C. F. Campbell.
Interment was in the Afton cemetery.
