Mrs. Mae Wisely, 78, of the Emberson Community died of illness, Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Joesph's Hospital where she was admitted several days ago.

Born in Athens, Ga., Feb. 3, 1887, Mrs. Wisely was the daughter of George Lavender and the former Miss Emma Jane Thurman. She was a member of the Sumner Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Leroy Wisely, both of Sumner; a daughter, Mrs. Max H. Scott, of Paris; and 16 other descendants. The family will be at the Scott Home.

Also survived by the father of her children, Lloyd Cleveland Wisely, who she married on 27 December 1903.

Her death certificate incorrectly has birthdate of Feb. 3, 1889.
