L. C. Wisely, 87, a retired farmer and stockman of Rt. 1 Sumner, died of illness Tuesday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital here.

Born in Hopewell community, April 26, 1884, Lloyd Cleveland Wisely married Lovie Mae Lavender, who died Dec. 25, 1967.

Friends will be received in Paris, Wednesday between 7:30 and 9 p.m. at Leverett and Steele Funeral Home, where service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. Burial will be made at Hopewell.

Surviving are two children: Lloyd Wisely, Sumner, and Mrs. Max Scott, Paris; 22 other descendants in three generations, and a brother, Willie (Bill) Wisely of Achille, OK.

Memorial Service 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 1972 in the Memorial Chapel at Leverett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. J. L. Wideman and Rev. Alfred Butler officiating.

Organist, Mrs. Don Haslam and singers, Mrs. D. B. Chance, Mrs. Ed Rooks and Mrs. Leroy Ricks.

Casket bearers: Preston Wisely, Jim Fagala, Phil Harris, Ebb Lassiter, Paul Bryan, Philip Risinger, Dan Harris and Jim Lassiter.

Concluding service: Hopewell Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.
