He married Nina Vivian Atwood November 27, 1902 in Murray, Utah.

They were parents to five children: Alan Elliot, Elizabeth Vivian, William Lockhart, Howard Isaac and Margaret Jean Brockbank.

He married Miriam Eleanor Cohen in Farmington, Utah on June 25, 1918. They raised two children: Robert Douglas and Lockhart Howard Brockbank.

Lock was employed for several years as special accountant with the Old Oregon Short Line Railroad. Later he was engaged in the automobile business.

He was at one time president of the Utah Auto Dealers Association, member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Salt Lake Real Estate Board, engaging in real estate in later life.

He was revered by associates and employees and family for his kindness and consideration.

He was a High Priest and Chairman of Genealogical Committee in the ward in which they belonged in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was called on a mission for the church to the Lamanites, also his wife was called. They made friends with the Navajos.

Illness forced his being released early from the mission.
