SANDLIN, Albert, 88, of Georgetown, formerly of the Morrow area, died Friday July 1, 2005. Born April 29, 1917 in Clay County, KY to George and Ida (nee: Simms) Sandlin, he was a US Army veteran serving in WWII. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Laura Sandlin, one daughter, Helen Sandlin, two brothers, Lee and Matt Sandlin, one sister, Margie DeBoard, two grandchildren, Timothy Scott Hollen and Tommy Lee Sandlin Hanes, and one son in law, Nick Mathis. Survivors include five sons, Chester of Lebanon, Delbert (Lena) of West Union, Lee (Sally) of Ripley, Paul (Ruth) of Milan, IN and Lester (Rochelle) of North Vernon, IN, four daughters, Lillie Mathis of Oneida, KY, Vern (Jerry) Kelly of Stanton, KY, Jane (Fred) Hacker of Oneida, KY, and Donna (Dennis) Campbell of Booneville, KY, five brothers, Daniel, Bill, Ted, Farris, and David Sandlin, two sisters, Lillie Brown and Martha Callahan, 38 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. Visitation was held Wednesday July 6, 2005 from 12 noon to 1 PM and funeral service followed at 1 PM at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Mr. F. Allen Hollen officiated with interment following at Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon. Arrangements by the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow.
