Farris Sandlin, of Williamstown, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at his residence, one day after his 83rd birthday. Born September 15, 1940, in Clay County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George and Ida Sims Sandlin. Farris was a self-employed painter. He love playing cards with his brothers and sisters, dancing, listening to music, joking and telling stories of the past, but he will best be remembered for his love for family members, who were always first and foremost in his life. He frequently referred to them as "my people." Being the baby of his 10 siblings, he loved "being taken care of."

He is survived by: three sons, Farris Sandlin, Jr., of Williamstown, Dennis Sandlin, of Dry Ridge, and Daniel Lee Sandlin, of Williamstown; a daughter, Teena Sandlin, of Dry Ridge; a sister, Lilly Brown, of Williamstown; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, at Stanley Funeral Home, in Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Josh Cummins officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Deerfield Cemetery, 5594 Shawhan Road, South Lebanon, Ohio.
