Wilma P Black, 86, 120 Hogan Street, Willshire, died at 3:25 am Sunday in Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford, where she was a resident for the past four years. She had been a Willshire resident since 1947. Born in Convoy, Oct 28, 1905, Mrs Black was the daughter of Alonzo R and Deliah (Yocum) Thompson. She was married July 24, 1924 to Noel G Black, who died March 14, 1970. Surviving are two sons, Ray E, Willshire, and Merle D, Celina; a daughter, Mrs Gerald (Patricia) Hoblet, Decatur IN; a sister, Farry Cress, Monroeville IN; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Don Black; a daughter, Eileen Fleming and three brothers and a sister. Mrs Black was a homemaker and had worked at Lutes Flowers, Decatur, for several years. She was a member of Decatur Moose Lodge. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday in the Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev Lynn E Mefford officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Convoy. Friends may call 2-5 and 7.9 pm Monday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Don Black Scholarship Fund of the Moose Heart.
