She graduated high school in Mt. Emmons in 1932 with honors.

When Grace was nineteen, she went to work at a sawmill cooking for the workers. She knew most of the young men who were working there. One of them was John Kenison who came to work in May. They were married July 4, 1935 in Duchesne, Utah.

The are the parents of seven children and have a posterity of 100.
