She was united in marriage on July 1, 1896 to John T. Lucas. To this union was born five children, Mrs. Blanche Fansher, Mrs. Gladys Kelley, Mrs. Stella Slade and John T. Lucas Jr. Frankfort, Kansas and Mrs. Virgie Faulk, of
Junction City, Kansas.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, John Lucas Sr. four daughters and one son; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Kenworthy, Emmett, Kansas, Mrs. Mina Jones, Westmoreland, Kansas, Mrs. Blanche Wagor, Custer, South Dakota and Mrs. Melissa Carpenter, Pawnee Rock; and three brothers, John Fairchild, Emmett, Kansas, Earl Fairchild, Scott City, Kansas and Dick Fairchild, Barrett, Kansas; and several other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Lucas had been in poor health the last few years and had been bedfast for three months and has been cared for by her family.
Funeral services were held at the Padden Funeral Chapel on Tuesday afternoon.
