Elwood, 25, died March 16, 1945 in the Philippines during WWII, while serving our country.

He was born Sept. 14, 1919 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Cecil Alonzo & Rhoda Irene Casper Call. He attended schools in Woodville, Shelley, and Rigby. Graduating from Rigby High School. He attended ISU and graduated from U of I, with a Bacholar of Science degree in Forestry.

Elwood entered the Army on Oct 2, 1941. He attended Officers Candidate School at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He left for the South Pacific in 1942. He served in New Guinea, Hollandia, Biak, and the Philippine Islands, and died in Mindanao.

He is survived by his parents, Cecil & Irene Call; sisters, DeEsta Irene, Luetta Mae, Ora Emily, Velma Elnora, and Jean Edna.
