Irvin M. Bilderback, 74, of 15263 Old Lincoln Way, Dalton, (Sugar Creek Township), died Wednesday morning at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orville after a year long illness.

Mr. Bilderback was born in Millersburg, to Delno and Margaret Bilderback. He married Harriet Bonom in 1929.

He had been a welder at the Lorain ship yards in Lorain and worked at Apple Creek State Institute, where he was supervisor of employees until retiring in 1968. He was also co-owner of Chi Pom Kenn in Dalton and was sexton of the Dalton Cemetery for about ten years.

He was a member of the North Elm Street Church of Christ and the Cedar Masonic Lodge, both in Orrville.

A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Carpenter of Dalton; a sister, Mrs. Clarice Coles of Massillon; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton with the Rev. Kenneth Baldwin, his pastor, officiating.

A Masonic service will be held Friday at 8:45 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will be made in Dalton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
