Mrs. Cordelia Blankinship, 80, widow of a pioneer Asotin County stockman, died of infirmities of age yesterday at 7:50 a.m. at Clarkston Rest Haven, where she had been a patient for about 13 months. Her home was at 532 7th St.
She was born on July 18, 1882, at Elizabethtown, Tenn. She came as a child to Midvale in southwestern Idaho.
She married Samuel Elisha Blankenship on June 9, 1910, at Lewison.
Mr. Blankenship had lived at Peola since 1884, and he took his bride to his home there. they raised cattle and sheep until 1932 when they moved to Lewiston Orchards for about a year, then settled at Silcott. Mr. Blankenship died on June 22, 1946. She moved to Clarkston about a year later.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond E. Blankinship, at the family farm at Silcott; Richard L. and Charles M. Blankinship, both of Joseph, Ore., and James E. Blankinship, Enterprise, Ore.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
