KEARNS--Doris Marie Hall (Keate), our beloved and very special wife, mother and grandmother left this world on May 16, 1993, following a long and courageous battle with melanoma cancer.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends, for to know this wonderful woman was to love her. Her kind and caring ways were a gift she generously showered upon everyone. All her goodness will now be rewarded as she takes her special place in God's Kingdom.
Born April 9, 1924 in Los Angeles, California to Percival and Clara Keate. Married Harlan E. Hall on October 6, 1945. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She spent 25 years in the food services business. Retired after 10 years as owner/manager of the cafeteria at the FAA (Air Traffic Control Center,) in Salt Lake. A workaholic even after her retirement years, she was a very successful Avon representative. She was proud that her sales got her in the President's Club 4 years in a row. Her spare time was spent doing what meant the most to her. That is, enjoying her family and her very special grandchildren. The time we all got together as a family were the times she cherished most.
Survived by her husband, Harlan E. Hall; nine children and their spouses, Judie and Cass Williams, Nancy Shunk, Michael Hall, Danny and Debbie Hall, Jeff and Kim Hall, Tammy and Rick Brown, Pamela and Timmy Shunk, Cindy and Eddie McCauley, all of Salt Lake City; and Patti and Kent Nelson of Las Vegas; four brothers, Glen, Leslie, Eugene and Floyd Keate and one sister, Luahna Smith; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by grandson, Joey Michael Williams and Joey's little girl and her great-granddaughter, Elisha; her father and mother and a brother, Edward Keate.
The family wishes to thank the health care providers on the 3South Wing at St. Marks Hospital. A special thanks to Hospice-Creekside for the tender loving care you gave to our very special wife and mother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 1993, 11 a.m., Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Rd. where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
