Lee A. "Babe" Sukala, of Natrona Heights, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2008, at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Kensington, a daughter of the late George and Anna Nellis Balch. Lee was a resident of Harrison Township for the past 60 years. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she worked at Hart's Department Store, Natrona Heights. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family; sons, Albert (Vicki) Sukala Jr., of Buffalo Township, and Daniel (Lori) Sukala, of Kittanning; daughters, Kathy (Paul) Bronner, of Plum, and Mary Ann (Kevin) Harvey, of Buffalo Township; grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Cardinal, Brianna Lee Sukala, Cory Sukala and Justin Sukala; brothers, Al (Mary) Balch, of New Kensington, and Frank (Kay) Balch, of Plum; and sisters, Helen Petkus, of Puyallup, Wash., and Dorothy Ansani, of New Kensington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Sukala Sr., who died Sept. 17, 1978. As per the request of Mrs. Sukala, there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor, the Rev. Thomas Wagner, as celebrant. Private burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. Arrangements are under the care of the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights.
