EUGENE THOMAS
Eugene M. Thomas, 65, 2807 Mock Ave., died at Ball Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon. He had been in ill health for some time, but his death was unexpected. He was born in Muncie, and spent most of his life in this community.
Mr. Thomas was employed at Owens-Illinois prior to his retirement. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 231.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lois Arnold and Mrs. Janice Mackey, both of Muncie, Mrs. J.C. Sells, Ridgeville, and Mrs. Lena Lycan, Anderson; five sons, Bruce, Harry, Harold, and Henry Thomas, all of Muncie, and John Thomas, Carpentersville, Ill.; a foster son, Lafayette Smith, Muncie; two sisters, Mrs. William McConnell, Albany, and Mrs. Lena Carroll, Danville; a brother, Rolland Thomas, Selma; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are tentatively set for Saturday afternoon at Meeks Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Friday, and any time before the services Saturday.
