MUNCIE- Harold Edward Thomas, 79, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He was born in Muncie on December 24, 1938 to the late Eugene and Thadora (Alberson) Thomas.
Harold served in the Marine Corp. from 1956-1960. He married Joyce Conrad on October 13, 1962 they were married fifty-five years.
Harold retired from ABB in 1985 after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of Towne Acres Church of Christ.
Harold is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Joyce (Conrad) Thomas; one son, Joseph Thomas (Ami); two daughters, Terri Smith (Eric) and Kristin Jackson (Jamie); five grandchildren, Brooke Thomas, Chase Smith, Jonathan and Lily Thomas, and Gabe Jackson; two sisters, Viola Sells and Lois Austin; and two brothers, Bruce Thomas (Judy) and Harry Thomas (Sharon).
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeffrey, two brothers, John and Henry Thomas, and two sisters, Lena Lykin and Janice Mackey.
The family would like to thank ViaQuest Hospice for all the love and care during Harold’s illness. A special thank you to Barb, Catrina, and Michele you’ll remain in our hearts forever. A special thank you also to Dr. Yuhico for being there for me that day when I had to made such a hard decision you’ll always be my special angel.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Elm Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Mark Reynolds officiating.
