Clara (Bellmann) Ahmann, 80, of 1860 Floraview Drive died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Ennoble Manor.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road where there will be a wake service at 6:45 p.m.
Clara was born September 12, 1927, daughter of Herman and Mathilda (Farni) Bellmann. She married Doyle Ahmann, September 12, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque.
She was employed at the former Dubuque Packing Company until 1962.
She loved playing cards and bingo and working the bingo at St. Anthony parish. She also loved fishing in Minnesota and was famous for her blueberry dessert.
She was a member of St. Anthony Parish.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 55 years, Doyle Ahmann; sons, Randy (Pauline) Ahmann, of Davenport, and Rod (Nancy) Ahmann, of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas, and Sarah, of Davenport, and Timothy of Lincoln, NE; brothers, Loras (Lou) Bellmann of Key West, Iowa, Gene B. Bellmann, of Kansas City, MO, Rudy (Joan) Bellmann, of Dubuque; sister, Agnes Melssen, of Dubuque; and sisters-in-law, Helen Bellmann, of Durango, and Mary Jane Bellmann, of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mary Becker and Cecilia Tigges and brothers, Carl, Leonard and Joseph Bellmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
