Herbert Andrew Park of 71 Russell Avenue, Akron, Ohio, a former resident of Huntingdon County, died at his home on Monday, December 5, 1955. Death came very suddenly from a heart attack.

Mr. Park was born July 30, 1894, in Cass Township and was a son of Jesse Bland and Annie (Stake) Park. He was united in marriage to Theresa Alberta Dell in 1911.

Mr. Park had been employed by the Goodrich Rubber company in Akron for the past 27 years and was a member of the company's '27 Year Club." He was also a member of Local Union No. 5, the Goodrich Company's bargaining agency. He was Democratic chairman of the Third Ward in the city of Akron.

Surviving are his wife and these brothers and sisters: Freeman Park and Sarah (Mrs. Monroe Crotsley); both of Saltillo; Mrs. Mary Trone, Altoona; Luther Park and Garnetta Park, both of Arizona; and Arlene (Mrs. James Snare) of Rockhill Furnace.

Funeral services will be held at the Cornelius Chapel Methodist Church in Hares Valley on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of D. E. Kinkade of the Three Springs Church of Christ. Interment will be made in the Cornelius Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Martha Skipper home (formerly the Howard Dell home) at Knightsville after 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon and until 12 noon Friday. The body will then be taken to the church, where it will lie in state until the hour of service. McClain's Funeral Service, Cassville.
