SHELBINA, Mo. -- Dallas G. Farrell, 84, of Shelbina, a retired farmer, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 20, 1991) in the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina after a long illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1907, in Madison, Mr. Farrell was a son of Thomas and Ella Roberson Farrell. He married Leola Caldwell Nov. 10, 1929. She died Sept. 27, 1983. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.
On May 25, 1984, he married Florence Bodine in Paris, Mo. She survives.
Survivors also include a son, Gilbert of Shelbina; three daughters, Bernice Bowling, Dorothy Rash and Lois Smithey, all of Shelbina; a brother, Denzil of Monroe City; a sister, Elsie Fitzpatrick of Quincy, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters; a stepson; eight step-grandchildren; two great-step-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina by the Rev. Kenneth Harland. Burial will be in Shelbina Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 tonight in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
