ALPHA—Mrs. Stella Carlson, 89 of Alpha, died at 7:45 PM yesterday at the Hillcrest Home, near Cambridge.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Alpha Baptist Church, with the Rev. Owen Hamilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Alpha Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 PM tomorrow at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox funeral Home, Alpha, where memorials may be made to the church.
The former Stella Calkins was born July 16, 1889, in Alpha, a daughter of John F and Elvira Elliott Calkins.
She was married to David Carlson on May 20, 1914 in Alpha. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Owen, rural Rio and James Stewart, Commerce City, Colo.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Frances Hamrick, Wyanet.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
