Funeral services for Mrs. Lavesta Martin 89, were held Wednesday at the Standing Rock Methodist Church with Rev. Eunis Crowe and Rev. Lemule Davis officiating. Burial was in the Standing Rock Cemetery with Wideman Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Martin died Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. H. R. McCaulay at Stewart, Tennessee following a long illness. She was a member of the Cross Roads Methodist church.
She was a native of Stewart County, Daughter off the late H. H. and Delilah Vickers McGee and was married to Henry J. Martin who died in 2936.
Survivors are Mrs. H. R. McCaulay, Stewart, Tenn., and Mrs. R. H. Glover, Lafayette, Tenn. Five sons, J. R. Martin, Stewart, Tenn.; E. C. Martin, Tennessee Ridge, Tenn.; Nay and W. C. Martin, Nashville, Tenn. and L. L. Martin, Dover, Tenn. One sister, Mrs. Lavada Dillon, Dover, Tenn., 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
