Rebecca Ann McGee, known as "Becky Ann," daughter of Henry Hicks McGee and Delilah Vickers McGee, was born the third child, June 01, 1855. John Wesley McGee the first child had lived March, 1851, till January of 1953, and the second child, Margaret was born in April , 1953. After Becky Ann, eight more children were born. Seven of those grew to adulthood: Mary Caroline, Emma, William Eldridge, Lavena, Lavesta, Navada, and Thomas Wiley. The last child, Lavona, born July, 1878, lived 7 years, and died in Oct 1885.
Becky Ann married George Buchanan Jones, son of J.A. (Jimmy) Jones, and Margaret Frances Waggoner. about 1876. Jimmy came from North Carolina to Cane Creek in Houston County., Tennessee prior to 1850. The Jones family of seven children moved to Standing Rock community in 1858.
Becky Ann and George were parents of nine children: James Henry, Mary Ann and Martha (twins), Callie Florence, William Elbert, Sam L. Thomas Jefferson, Charlie Armstrong and John Wesley.
The family were members of the Standing Rock Methodist Church. Rebecca Ann McGee Jones was buried in the Standing Rock Cemetery , McGee Cemetery with all of the other McGee family members. She died August 16, 1908.
