~*~*~My Great Great Grandmother~*~*~

Lizzie Belle Hill was born October 17, 1863, in Orange County, Indiana, and was the daughter of Joseph and Harriet Cox. She joined the United Brethren church at the age of 13 years.

She was married to Henry M. Hill on May 25, 1884. To this union seven children were born, one of which died in infancy. She died in Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa on October 12, 1923, after an illness of four weeks, at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 26 days. Her husband preceded her in death 23 years ago.

Besides the six surviving children, she leaves to mourn her departure eleven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

We cannot doubt that when the portals of heaven are thrown open to us we shall find mother singing the songs of the redeemed. Chords awakened on earth will vibrate in heaven.

Dear loved ones you cannot call her, but by the grace of God you can say in the language of David: "Can I bring her back again? I shall go to her but she shall not return to me."

Funeral services were conducted at the Danner's Chapel Church October 15, by Revs. E. Apple and O.P. Danner, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near by.
