Lonnie Kincaid, 79, Route 1 Yantis was buried in the Peerless Cemetery Thursday afternoon following 2 p.m. services in the Tapp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Beddingfield and the Rev. James Schafer officiating.

Mr. Kincaid died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Wood County Central Hospital.

He was born October 3, 1900 in Tennessee to Thomas and Laura Kincaid. He married Daisy Fouse in Sulphur Springs in 1919. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was retired from the Dallas School System.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bazil Kincaid of Royse City, Wendell Kincaid of Yantis, Odell Kincaid of Mesquite, and Kenneth Kincaid of Rockwall; four daughters, Vera Pugh of Mesquite, Lenora Kinney of Irving, Mildred Nichols and Gladys Mills, both of Yantis; a brother, H. H. Kincaid of Commerce; two sisters, Velvie Lunsford of Dallas and Mary Free of Birthright; 22 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Holder, in 1978.

Serving as pallbearers were Troy Mills, Jerald Johnson, Gene Dorres, Randy Giles, Jimmy Mathews, Mike Faxon and Cary Cretzburg.
