Ruthanna Pieplow Obituary
RUTHANNA PIEPLOW (nee Swartz) age 96 of Valley View. Born in Upper Sandusky May 6, 1927 and graduated from this life April 8, 2024. She was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Mary Alice (Lawrence) Swartz and became the wife of the late Robert W. Pieplow on June 25, 1949. She was the loving and caring mother of James (Carolyn), John (Karen), Wayne (Stephanie) and Robert J. (deceased); the beloved grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother "GiGi" of four. After graduating from high school in 1945, she attended nursing school and received her degree in nursing. She retired from nursing and was a business owner. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church for most of her life, she was always ready to help others. Ruthanna had many hobbies such as reading, gardening, canning, mushroom hunting, and especially researching family genealogies. She was an avid traveler visiting 48 states including Alaska and Hawaii and countries in Europe and South America. She lived a long and blessed life and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
