Phyllis J. (Grayson) Bruton loving wife, mother, and nana went to be with our lord and savior on September 11,2023 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Phyllis was born on August 1, 1935 in Commerce, Ok to William "Jenks" Grayson and Verda Mae (Wilkinson) Grayson. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, Floyd Lee Bruton on May 10, 1952. Together they raised 4 children; Michael, Russell, Carolyn and Pamela. Phyllis was a member of the Eastern Stars, Teamsters, and a life long believer in the Christian Faith. She retired from Wonder Bread and went to work at Commerce High School where she touched the lives of so many.

Phyllis was proceeded in death by her mother Verda Mae, father "Jenks", 2 children Rusty Bruton and Pam Purscelley, brothers Harold, Ralph and Jerry Lee Grayson, 3 sisters Thena Weatherby, Betty Stewart and Opal Price. Phyllis was loved by all who knew her, she had a quick wit and excellent sense of humor. She loved attending all her grandchildren's ball games, school events, fishing, reading Danielle Steel books, rocking her grand babies no matter how big they've gotten, watching her beloved Chiefs, Yankees and Sooner play, watching the morning news, talking on the phone and asking "Do you know any good gossip". She will be missed more than words can describe. But she has gained her heavenly reward and heard the sweetest words from our lord and savior "well done my good and faithful servant".

She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years Floyd Bruton of the home, son Michael and wife Brenda of Joplin, Mo, daughter Carolyn and husband David of Miami, ok, adoring grandchildren, Adam and kara Bruton, Keith and Chanda McCord, Alicia and Will Endicott, Stephany and Andy Littlejohn, Tarra and Billy Tuttle, Mariah and Dusty Dunkel, and Hannah McCord, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
