Roy Edward Johnson was the fourth of ten children of James David Johnson and Viola Brook Johnson. See pictures of all ten Johnson children and their mother at the 1951 Johnson family reunion in the Photos section as well as a photo with nine of the 10 children from about 1970.

Roy was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. He was employed for 28 years by the Santa Rosa County public School System and was a retired employee of the U.S. department of Agriculture with 21 years of service.

Roy was survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Mabel Elsie Dunn Johnson.
