OBITUARY
RUPERT--Harvey A. Jensen, 82, Rupert resident, passed away Saturday morning at Minidoka Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 11, 1903 at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, the son of John M. and Katherine Marie Pedersen Jensen. He moved with his family to Sugar City, Idaho where he attended schools, moved to Burley, Idaho, in 1920 where he completed his education. He then moved to Rupert in 1925 and has since resided.
He married Evelyn Anderson, January 15, 1934 in Corinne, Utah. He has been employed in the Rupert area as a butcher for several years working for Peoples Market, Don's Market and had worked with his son, Royce, at the Jensen Meat Company. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include his wife of Rupert; four sons, Deon and Royce Jensen, both of Rupert; Delwyn Jensen of Brigham City, Utah; and Gene Jensen of Burley. Three daughters, Mrs. Zola May Arneson of Vallejo, California; Mrs. Renee Sanders and Mrs. Darlene Gray, both of Rupert; three sisters Mrs. Alta England and Mrs. Marva Hansen, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Mrs. Afton Stowell of Pocatello. Also 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one great-grandson, three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rupert LDS 2nd, 3rd and 4th Ward chapel with Bishop John E. Fennell officiating.
Burial will be in the Rupert cemetery. Friends may call at the Hansen Mortuary Monday afternoon and evening and at the place of service one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
