RUPERT--Evelyn Anderson Jensen, 81, Rupert, died Friday, March 11, 1994, at Cassia Memorial Hospital in Burley.
She was born Sept 7, 1912, at Huntsville, Utah, the daughter of Lars and Thekla Victoria Stromberg Anderson. She lived and attended schools in Corrine, Black Pine, Ogden and Brigham City, Utah.
She married Harvey Anthem Jensen on Jan 15, 1934, at Corrine, Utah, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. She moved to Idaho in 1934, and later to Rupert, where she has since resided, Mr. Jensen preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a member of the LDS Church and was an organist for several years besides serving in many other capacities.
She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Deon and Daphne Jensen of Burley, Delwyn and Judy Jensen of Brigham City, Royce and Nancy Jensen of Rupert, and Gene and Ann Jensen of Burley; two daughters, Judy Renee Sanders, and Darlene VonDohln and her husband, Guy, all of Rupert; and 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, daughter, great-grandchild, sister and brother.
The funeral will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, March 16 at the Rupert LDS West Stake Center, 100 W 38 S, with Bishop's Counselor Alan Maxwell, officiating. Burial will be in Rupert Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hansen Mortuary, Rupert, from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
