Daniel Harkness Jensen, age 92, passed away on March 22, 2010 at Utah State Veteran's Nursing Home.

He was born June 20, 1917 in Burley, Idaho to John Marinus and Mary Ann Harkness Jensen.

He attended schools throughout the West and in Etna, Canada. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Dan married Maxine Holmes on January 16, 1940.

He served his country in the Navy in World War II, where he learned to bake. He then made baking his career. Dan was famous for his delicious pies. Dan loved vacationing with his children and grandchildren in Southern Utah and along the Oregon Coast, as well as fishing, hiking, and writing poetry about the places he visited. He had a great love and respect of Nature which he passed along to his family.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Dianne Jensen; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Maxine of sixty-eight years, his son Gary, and his nine siblings.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, Utah.
