Florence Young Memorial Service Set for Monday
A memorial service for Mrs. Florence Young will be held at the Burns cemetery Monday morning, June 13, at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Louis L. Perkins of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating. The ashes will be interred at the grave of her husband, George A. Young, who passed away in 1935.
Mrs. Young died at San Francisco May 14. She was born at Crescent Mills, Calif. July 20, 1871. She came to Oregon in 1889 and the same year was married to Mr. Young. She lived in Burns until 1926 and until her illness made her home at Taylorsville, Calif.
She is survived by five children. They are C. N. Young, Burns; William G. Young, San Francisco; Hazel Dalphine, Taylorsville; James G. Young, Taylorsville; George W. Young, San Francisco. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
*Her husband was George W. Young, not George A. Young. He died 1920, not 1935. The California Death Index lists her birth day as the 19th, not the 20th. Her daughter's married name was Dolphin, not Dalphine. She also had two children that died in infancy - burial place(s) unknown.
