GEORGE WESLEY YOUNG
George Wesley Young, 88, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1996 at his residence in Taylorsville. He was born in Burns, Ore. on Oct. 22, 1907 and moved to Taylorsville as a young man in 1923, leaving to attend school in the Bay Area. He moved back to Taylorsville in 1968 from San Francisco. He was retired from Pacific Telephone after over 40 years working as an engineer in their planning department. He was one of the leaders in the establishment of a community sewer system for Taylorsville. He is survived by his sons, George R. Young of San Francisco and Richard of Taylorsville; two grandchildren; also three great-grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 17 in Taylorsville.
*He was born on the 27th, not the 22nd. His first wife was Agnes. He then married an unknown woman. His middle name was misspelled on his grave marker.
