Edgar E. Kessel, 81, of Cleveland, a native of Hancock County, died Sunday at home after a lingering illness.
He was born Sept. 9, 1885, a son of the late Thomas Kessel and Mary Martin Kessel. He was a member of New Cumberland Masonic Lodge 22 and the Scottish Rite and the Osiris Shrine of Wheeling.
He leaves two brothers, Donald W. Kessel of New Cumberland and Kenneth K. Kessel Sr. [sic] of Fremont, Calif., and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Pugh and Mrs. Alice Allison, both of Chester, and Mrs. Lois Bischoff of Milton, W. Va.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 P. M. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Cleveland and Wednesday at 1 P. M. at the Bauchman Funeral Home, Frazeysburg, Ohio.
