L Foster Sires, 92, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2011.

Preceding him in passing were his beloved wife, Margaret and eldest son, Les.

Surviving are son, Robert and wife, Dianne; granddaughter, Sarah; grandson, Bo; great-grandson, Harper; and daughter-in-law, Judy.

Foster was a longtime active member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. He retired from Davis Paint Company in 1982. As a WW II US Army Veteran, Foster was an active member of Robert H Baker American Legion Post # 95.

Foster enjoyed working with youth, from co-founding little league baseball in the Chouteau area in the 50's and 60's, to being a loyal Liberty High School sports fan. Along with other Legion members, he regularly visited local schools to share flag etiquette and military experiences. Rarely at a loss for words, Foster will be missed and remembered as a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather and good friend.

Visitation will be Tues, May 10 from 5-8 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO. Funeral service Wed, May 11 at 10 am at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 3800 NE Parvin Rd, Kansas City, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to any of the following: Immanuel Presbyterian Church, the Foster Sires Student Scholarship Fund at Liberty High School, Robert H Baker American Legion Post # 95 or Liberty Hospital Hospice.
