Lincoln Dean Barnhard, age 83 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Corewell Gerber Hospital in Fremont. Lincoln was born on February 12, 1940 in Fremont to Albert and Wilma (Wantz) Barnhard and graduated from Fremont High School in 1959 where he played football and baseball in high school and had earned a scholarship at Nebraska University for baseball. Lincoln married Gloria Alene Dalson on December 24, 1964 in Fremont and Gloria preceded him in death on January 26, 2005. Lincoln has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area and had been a truck driver for several trucking companies throughout West Michigan from 1963 until his retirement in 2003. Lincoln enjoyed reading, hunting, socializing with friends at the round table. Lincoln however, found the greatest joy in spending time and being with children.

Lincoln is survived by his children, Rhonda Barnhard of Fremont; Lincoln (Sharon) Barnhard Jr. of Fremont; Jody (John Delia) Wade of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Tiffany (TJ Wayne) Barnhard; Amber Wade; Tyler (Kim Warren) Fox; Stephanie (Lori) Hazelton; Brittany (Jeremy) Gerth; 9 great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Art (Linda) Barnhard of Fremont; Esther (Jim) Hansen of Holton; Susan Cowles of Holton; Lois (Ken) Wolters of Bitely; his son-in-law, Robert Maddox of Fremont; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Lincoln was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; his daughter, Cindy Sue Barnhard-Maddox on September 9, 2020; his brother, Stan and sister, Maxine.

VISITATION : Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. FUNERAL SERVICES : Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11:00am at Lincoln Township Cemetery.
