Gloria Alene Barnhard, age 62 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at her home following a long illness. Gloria was born on October 16, 1942 in Muskegon to Kern Hilding and Mabel Louise (LeRoux) Dalson and graduated from Holton High School in 1961. She later married Lincoln Barnhard on December 24, 1964 in Newaygo. Gloria has been a lifelong resident of the area where she was a homemaker and longtime member of the Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Fremont. She was a active member of the Newaygo County Relay For Life.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lincoln of Fremont; her daughters, Jody (Bill) Wade of Fremont; Cindy Barnhard of Fremont; Rhonda Barnhard of Fremont; her son, Lincoln Barnhard Jr. of Fremont; her grandchildren, Tiffany Barnhard, Amber Wade, Tyler Fox, Stephanie Wade, Brittany Wade, her sisters, Marilyn J. Chester of Twin Lake; Murial (Robert) Dunbar of Fremont; Juanita (James) Romanosky of North Muskegon; her brothers, Rickert Dalson of Holton; Harold (Sara) Dalson of Traverse City; many nieces and nephews and others that referred to her as Grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kern and Mabel Dalson; her sister, Cheryl Dalson; her brother, Art Dalson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 29, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home-Fremont Chapel with Rev. David Dickinson of the Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ presiding with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
