Cindy Sue Barnhard-Maddox, age 51 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in Hart. Cindy was born on December 1, 1968 in Fremont to Lincoln and Gloria Alene (Dalson) Barnhard and graduated from Fremont High School in 1987. Cindy later met and married Robert Maddox on December 24, 2014 in Las Vegas and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area. Cindy had worked as a secretary at Baker College in Fremont for several years and later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree and had worked at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont, Metron of Big Rapids and was currently employed at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart. Cindy was a member of the Fremont Christian Church, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening. She had a giving heart and was an animal lover and loved to play with her dogs and cats. Cindy found great joy in spending time with her family and was extremely proud of her son when he completed his basic military training.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Robert of Fremont; her son, Tyler Fox of Fremont; stepchildren, Barry Maddox, Jacob (Melinda) Maddox, Vanessa (Joey) Ross, Olivia (Rick) Werts; her father, Lincoln Barnhard of Fremont; several step grandchildren; her sisters, Rhonda Barnhard of Fremont; her brother, Lincoln (Sharon) Barnhard Jr. of Fremont; Jody (John Delia) Wade of Hesperia; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Gary (Diane) Maddox; Pat (Deb) Maddox; Cheryl (David) Gilmore; Cheryl Sterling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Barnhard on January 26, 2005; her father and mother-in-law, James and Doris Maddox; a special nephew, Hawk Maddox; brothers-in-laws, John and Greg Maddox.

VISITATION : Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 1-3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W. 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with a FUNERAL SERVICE at 3:00 pm. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. Friends may also listen to the memorial services via radio broadcasting on their car radios in the funeral home parking lot on the day of the memorial services with the information being provided on the day of the memorial services. Family members and friends not able to attend the services may watch the funeral services via Zoom meeting and will need to contact the family for the Zoom link prior to the services. INTERMENT : Lincoln Township Cemetery.
