PROVO—Mrs. Europha Brian Leffler Kinghorn, 85, prominent Provo Church worker, died at her home, 152 North Frist East St., Thursday evening of ailments incident to age.
She was born April 9, 1865, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Daniel G. and Martha Ashworth Brian, original Utah pioneers.
She married William Leffler Aug. 10, 1885, at Salt Lake City. They moved to Provo to make their home in 1892. Mr. Leffler died in September of 1928. In 1938, she married David Kinghorn of Idaho Falls and they lived there until his death in 1941. She then returned to Provo where she had lived since.
Active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mrs. Kinghorn has served in many offices of the various organizations. She was a Relief Society secretary and teacher in the Provo First Ward; president of the American Fork Fourth Ward Relief Society, Primary and Young Womens Mutual Improvement Association and chorister and organist of the Third Ward in Springville.
She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Camp 2. During World War I, she received a certificate of merit for her activities in the American Red Cross.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lott A. (Sadie) Russon, Lehi; Mrs. Vern (Hazel) Walker, American Fork; Mrs. Arthur (Pearl) Manton, and Mrs. Mark (Jennie) Brown, Provo; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Provo First Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop H. J. Stagg.
Friends may call at the Valley Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to the service. Burial will be in the Provo City Burial Park.
