James Travis McCleskey was born Thursday, January 9, 1913 in Morgan County, Alabama, to John Franklin McCleskey and Savannah Etta Hicks McCleskey. ~ James Travis McCleskey

MOULTON --- Funeral for James Travis McCleskey, 68, of Rt. 2 Moulton, who died Sunday at Parkway Hospital, was to be today at 3 p.m. at the Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church, the Rev. Jackie Camp and the Rev. Wade Whitlock officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Shelton Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Aline McCleskey of Rt. 2 Moulton; two sons, Billy Wayne McCleskey of Rt. 2 Moulton and Larry Travis McCleskey of Rt. 2 Trinity; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Vergie Long of Moulton, Mrs. Johnnie White of Danville, Mrs. Verdine Wood of Decatur and Mrs. Ceree Maddox of Athens.

Nephews were to serve as pallbearers.

Mr. McCleskey was a disabled veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer.
