Rites Listed For Soldiers

The bodies of three North Alabama Servicemen are being returned home for burial. They are Pvt. Kenneth Rooks, Hartselle; Pfc. Walter F. McCleskey, Moulton 2 Pvt. B. B. Sherrill, Moulton.

Last rites for Pfc. Walter F. McCleskey will be conducted Wednesday at 3:15 P. M. from Johnson's chapel by E. E. Byars. Full military rites will be accorded the deceased in the chapel cemetery. Members of the national guard will serve as pallbearers. Highsmith will direct interment.

The body of Pfc. McCleskey will arrive in Decatur Wednesday at 3:15 P. M. and will be conveyed to the residence at Moulton 2.

Surviving are the father, John F. McCleskey, Moulton 2; one brother, Travis McCleskey, Moulton 2; four sisters, Mrs. Will Woods, Trinity 1; Mrs. Ernest Long, Moulton 2; Mrs. Lewis White, Danville 3; Mrs. Ed Woods, Trinity 1.

Pfc. McCleskey died September 4, 1944, in France. He was 27 years old.
