Phoebe Ann "Anna" Fields was born 7 Apr 1864, Livingston County, Michigan, USA to Alonzo and Catherine (Cassidy) Fields.

On 11 Sep 1888, Fowlerville, Livingston Co, Michigan Anna, age 24, was united in marriage with Richard B. Tallman, age 28, born Tiffin, Ohio, USA to Edward and Charlotte (Chapman) Tallman.

Their union was blessed with 4 children:
Henry Tallman 1887 - 1952
Clair Fields Tallman 1891 - 1949
Ackerson Nickerson Tallman 1894 - 1938
Fannie B. (Tallman) Redmond 1901 - 1997

Richard and Anna spent the first few years of their marriage in Ohio, near Richard's family, where three sons; Henry, Clair and Ackerson were born. Later they returned to Michigan where they rented a 191 acre farm on Jewel Road, Marion Twp, Livingston Co, MIchigan. They farmed the land and their children attended Anderson school.

When the Tallman family were forced to give up farming due to Richard's poor health, they relocated to Jackson, Jackson Co, Michigan. Using a team of horses from the farm, Richard and son, Clair found work building roads.

Richard died suddenly in 1915.

Anna died 6 Oct 1918, Jackson, Jackson Co, Michigan, USA, age 54, widow. Cause of Death: pneumonia / complication of influenza. Her husband, Richard preceded her in death in 1915.
