Jackson policemen Tuesday afternoon walked their last beat with Clair Tallman, 812 Foote, retired police sergeant and bank guard. He died Sunday morning in Mercy hospital. Aged 58. Services attended by uniformed Jackson area law enforcement officers and firemen were held at Wetherby's with burial in Woodland. Walter Weaver, reader at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, officiated.

Spencer of Holt, one son Clair, Jr. at home, one sister, Mrs. W. J. Redmond of Detroit, one brother, Henry C. Tallman of California. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Tallman is at the C. K. Wetherby Co. parlors, where services will be held Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. Interment, Woodland.
