Temperence, or Tempy, was the daughter of Frances and Anna Keller Barneycastle. She never married. She was active in the Union Ridge Methodist Church. The name Barneycastle or Barneycassel was used by this family, but after the Civil War they shortened it to either Cassel or Cassel. Tempy shares a gravestone with Ephraim.
