Clifford Rich Allred, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 1 (1981) at his home in St. Charles of a heart attack. He was born November 18, 1907, in St. Charles to Ernest Wilkes and Orissa Rich Allred. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spent his entire life farming. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was an elder at the time of his death. Survivors include a brother, Evan Rich Allred, St. Paul, Minn,; and a sister, Erma Pugmire, St. Charles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest and two sisters, Jennie Rasmussen and Connie Webb. Funeral services were held in the St. Charles chapel January 6 with Bp. Dallas Arnell conducting and giving remarks. Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery where Glenn b. Rich dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Roger Pugmire, Jack Allred, Jay Allred, Lynn Bee, Arthur Kunz and Dale Bybee. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Allred, Darwin Bee, Wayne Kunz, Boyd Pugmire, Lloyd Bybee and Charles Rasmussen, all nephews and the St. Charles Ward Elders Quorum. Colleen Wilkes played prelude and postlude music and Pres. Arlo M. Rasmussen gave the family prayer. "Sometime, We'll Understand" was sung by the choir. They also sang "Abide with Me, Tis Eventide". Riley Crossley gave the invocation and Jaren Pugmire read the obituary and gave a tribute. Speakers were L. Burdette Pugmire and Res. Arlin R. Pugmire. Theone Williamson sang "Not Understood" accompanied by Colleen Wilkes. Bp. James Pugmire gave the benediction
